County Clerk

The Kiowa County Clerk serves many vital functions for the county.  The varied duties the office performs include the following:
  1. Serve as the official secretary for the County Commission.  Official meeting minutes can be found here.
  2. Process Accounts Payable and Payroll for all county departments.
  3. Maintain personnel files for county employees.
  4. Certify tax valuations to the state.
  5. Prepare and Audit the county's annual budget.
  6. Oversee elections held within the county and certify the results to the state.
While the list gives a general idea of the Clerk's duties, each item is itself comprised of many complex individual tasks that the Clerk and her officers perform swiftly and professionally.

Office Hours

Normal Business hours are 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Monday-Friday.  The Clerk's Office is located in the Southwest corner of the main floor of the Kiowa County Courthouse.
