Register of Deeds
The Register of Deeds Office is responsible for recording all transactions relating to real estate in Kiowa County. This includes deeds, mortgages, oil and gas leases, and platted additions to all cities in the county. Our office also files financing statements fixture filings under the uniform commercial code, federal and state tax liens, mechanics liens on personal property, powers of attorney, county school records, and military discharges.
All records in this office are open to the public with the exception of the Kansas Real Estate Sales Validation Questionnaire, which is a closed record (with a few exceptions) by state statute. Copy charges are $1.00 per page. Faxed copies are billed at $2.00 per page.
Mission Statement
