Recycle Center
The Kiowa County Recycle Center is happy to help citizens do their part to conserve our natural resources. The new facility is able to accept an expanded list of household items for recycling.
The following items are accepted at the Recycle Center. Please sort them according to the following categories prior to bringing them in.
- White Paper
- Mixed Office Paper
- Newspaper
- Magazines
- Plastic Bottles (PETE #1)
- Colored Plastics (HDPE #2)
- Milk Jugs (HDPE #2 Natural)
- Mixed Plastics #3-#7
- Aluminum Cans
- Steel Cans
- Mixed Paper and Chipboard
- Phone Books
- Green/Blue Glass
- Clear Glass
- Brown Glass
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Feed Sacks
- Egg Cartons
Unfortunately, the Recycle Center is not equipped to handle all household waste. The following items will not be accepted:
- Plastic Grocery Sacks
- Styrofoam
- Plate Glass
- Light Bulbs
- Window Glass
- Ceramics
- Auto Glass
- Mirrors
- Aluminum Foil
- Scrap Metal
- Carbon Paper
- Construction Paper
- Bright Paper
- Self-Adhesive Envelopes and Paper Products
- Paper with Crayon Writing
- Manila File Folders and Envelopes
- Books, both Paperback and Hard Bound

Recycle Center Hours
The Recycle Center is open on weekdays from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The center is also open on the first and third Saturdays of every month from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
